ANDREEA BORȚUN -The Death Field

Andreea Bortun is a Romanian screenwriter, a graduate of UNATC, Bucharest. She has also studied philosophy, literature and modern art at BARD College Berlin. Andreea has worked on more than 15 short scripts and is an alumnus of several prestigious international training programs. She is currently developing her first feature length project A day off. Andreea is the winner of the special jury mention offered by the Robert Bosch Co-Production Prize (2013, project Mr.Moonlight) and of the Canon ShortFilm Competition (2014,project Love Locker). She has been accepted to the MFA Creative Writing Program at The New School, New York, for Fall 2014.

GHEORGHE NICOLAE – Hot Chocolate & Icecream

He was born during communist times, graduated from secondary school, finished high school, got second on the list in university, but quit it soon. After 1990 he worked at BTT and handled everything related to festivals, including the Costinesti Film Festival and several television shows. Starting 1994, he is on his own, handling different events, one publishing house, etc. Between 2009 and 2010 he pursued a Master in Film Production at the National University of Theatre and Film and stayed attached to the subject, by taking part in different seminars and classes.

IORESTINA FLOREA – Exact

Born in the summer of 1985 in Bucovina. She studied foreign languages at the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University in Iasi, then graduated from the Acting department at the Art University “George Enescu”. Her first stories were published in 2000 in the volume ” Povesti de la Bojdeuca”. She continued with the theatre publication “Doldora de buzunare goale”, then several short articles and stories in different magazines. Her first personal painting exhibition was organized in Suceava in 2012, by the name “Medeea si porcul Albastru”. She was part of different theatre projects, entertainment television shows, ads and short films.

MARIANA BURIC – Felicia

She studied Law at the Faculty of Law of the University in Bucharest. She is a lawyer with a passion for screenwriting. She has taken part in different film related projects, such as the screenwriting workshop First Draft, organized by Control N (2008) and Play, a workshop organized by Revista de Povestiri. Her present portofolio includes a short film script (Felicia) and a feature film script (Spiridon la baloon!…)

VALENTIN PĂDURARU – The Enemy

Valentin Paduraru was born in Calarasi in 1985. At the age of 5 he moved to Germany for 2 years. Moved to Paris one year later. Moved back to ROMANIA in 1993. At the age of 18 graduated from National College Stefan Banulescu. He moved to London for 3 years where he studied management at the College of North West London. At the moment he lives in Bucharest and studies Environment Protection at U.S.A.M.V. Calarasi.

ALIN BOERU – I’ll Handle It

After completing a Master’s Programme in Geopolitics, at the Academy of Economic Studies, he started working in a totally different environment than the one he prepared for.  Moreover, along with some friends, he started dreaming of the movie universe: multiple dreams: scriptwriting, directing, acting etc; this is how The Wannabes was born. After being part of movie, theatre and poetry festivals, after having the chance of pursuing happiness from the position of musical talent agent, he got in the market research business, where he is currently nesting… during day time.

DANA NEDELCU – First Page

Even if she graduated  from the Faculty of Theatre, Acting Department – as an actress she practiced less and intermittent. Currently, she is working as Freelancer in Communication, PR, Marketing, Events, Public Image. Over the years,she has been Fundraiser for an NGO, Artistic Consultant or PR, Marketing and Communication Manager for various companies. But, whatever the job that keeps her busy, she has always written and she got several literary awards for short stories. “First Page” is her first script.
