Throughout 10 weekly meetings, the participants will be guided towards discovering literary references, identifying their own themes, choosing the style, structuring their stories, time management, relating with their own work and they will be writing a piece of short prose, of their choice.<\/p>\n<p>The course is interactive and aims at stimulating the creativity of the participants, offering them a base in developing their passion for literature.<\/p>\n<p>Cristian Teodorescu is presently writing in the newspaper Catavencii. He made his debut in 1985, with the short stories volume Maestrul de lumini, after having been included in the collective volume Desant&#8217;83. After his debut, he published his volumes:\u00a0Tainele inimei (1988), Faust repovestit copiilor (1991), Povestiri din lumea nou\u0103 (1996), \u00cengerul de benzin\u0103rie (2003). He has received the Debut Prize of the Writers Association in Romania (1985) and the Prize for Prose, in 1996. In 2009 his most recent novel was published &#8211; Medgidia, orasul de apoi &#8211; which was multiply awarded.<\/p>\n<p>All the short stories resulting in the course will be published on Liternet.ro website. At the end of the course, the trainer will offer the Liternet Scholarship, consisting of a weekly column in which to publish their texts for 3 months.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\"><b>COURSE STRUCTURE<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">1ST MEETING<\/span><br \/>\nIntroduction. Who are you? Have you written anything before? Why do you want to write? why did other famous writers want to write and how old where they? Paper or computer?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">2ND MEETING<\/span><br \/>\nReferences. Books are born of books. What do we read in order to write. Each of our influences. The dictatorship of the last book we read. How not to reinvent the wheel? How not to reach the conclusion everything has been written before?<\/p>\n<p>3RD MEETING<br \/>\nThe beginning. Do you have talent or not? Inspiration or transpiration? Where does the urge to write come from? The first sentence. From Homer&#8217;s &#8220;Sing Goddess!&#8221; to Camus&#8217;s character who couldn&#8217;t pass the first sentence.<\/p>\n<p>4TH MEETING<br \/>\nContinuing the story. The difference between oral story telling and writing. What do you want to write? The fragment that won&#8217;t let you go forward. What is it lacking?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">5TH MEETING<\/span><br \/>\nThe point of view. Which point of view is it? 1st person, 2nd person, 3rd person. From the author who thinks he knows everything to the point of view of one of the characters.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">6TH MEETING<\/span><br \/>\nThe style. &#8220;Nice&#8221; style and expressive style. How does the style stick onto you?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">7TH MEETING<\/span><br \/>\nLiterary genres. Sketch. Story. Novel. How to approach each of them?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">8TH MEETING<\/span><br \/>\nStructure. Building a story, step by step.<\/p>\n<p>9TH MEETING<br \/>\nThe discipline of writing. When do you write? How much do you write? How do you prepare for the next day? Writing and rewriting.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">10TH MEETING<\/span><br \/>\nThe first contact with the reader. The need to share your work. The need to publish. Self-control and other&#8217;s opinions. Friends. Literary circles.
