The second edition of LIM – Less Is More, the European platform for project development of limited budget feature films, is ready to start in Romania, for the second consecutive year. LIM 2018 is composed of two important events, both organised in Transilvania: the second LIM workshop and the presentation of the 16 selected projects in front of specialized audience during the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF).

LIM – Less is More is structured in 3 residency stages of one week workshops, organised in three European countries: Workshop 1 in Finistère, France (March 7 – 14), Workshop 2 in Transilvania, Romania (June 3 – 8) and Workshop 3 in Lusławice, Poland (October 8 – 15). The development process for the low budget feature films in the second edition of the programme is coordinated by 4 experienced script consultants: Pierre Hogdson (UK, France), Marcel Beaulieu (Canada), Miguel Machalski (Spain) and Monica Rattazzi (France). The group of tutors will be joined by low and micro budget specialists as the participants will have meetings and discussions with producers Anamaria Antoci and Lissandra Haulica during the second workshop.

After a succesfull first edition in 2017 and a unique experience in the heart of Transylvania, LIM Workshop 2 is gathering the 20 participants in the small mountain resort of MunteleBăișorii, in a very special location, far from the world and the madness of the cities. The participants will deepen into the development programme and continue to dig into the narrative structures of their limited budget feature films. The purpose of the second LIM workshop is to find the basic structure of the stories and use the budget limitations in creative ways.

The second LIM workshop starts with a special event organised in Cluj-Napoca during the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF). On June 2,  the participants will be presenting their projects in front of producers and film professions present in Cluj, during the industry days of TIFF. One of the purposes of LIM is to generate a European network made of film professionals who work with limited budgets and to generate co-productions and new means of financing and distribution.
